wow

I didn't realize it had been so long since I had updated!  Things have changed so much since the 13th!  I've got a new job and will be going to part time soon at two places, I'm so excited!!!!   This is such a new adventure and a completely different field that I've never worked in!  It's great!

The advantage is I will be able to wear scrubs....so I thought why can't I make my own scrubs???  they've got to be simple to make, right?   Anyway, in looking for the patters, I came across this lovely thing.......

O

I am so happy with my life.....my relationship with Joey, the kids are all healthy and doing well.   The normal teenage stuff is happening but I guess that's normal, isn't it?   To come to work and hear co-workers fuss about things that seem so little just makes me want to run home......my safe haven!   I never thought I of all people would be the girl that loves to be at home!   My home is so sweet and quiet....even with 4 kids, 2 dogs and 8 chickens....compared to the lives of the others I know!   Bless my little quiet place, I love you home!  I love the dirty kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, yard, chicken coop, EVERYTHING!   I would give anything to be able to stay home and make money to be able to support the house!!!!!!!!!

A Day at the Zoo

We decided to take the little three to the zoo in Montgomery.   We have an annual pass so there wasn't any expense in going, other than gas.   We were a little sad that we were not going to be able to ride the train, it's 3.00 per person to ride and that would have been 15.00 we didn't have to spare.   But, when we got to the zoo we found out we had purchased the train ride tickets when we got the annual pass!!!!!   We, well me and the kiddos, were so excited!   I'll have photos to show soon!

No I'm planning for a sweet swap!  It's the same as a cookie swap but anything sweet goes.   This is the first one I will attend.  I tried to have one myself and it was way to much work...and that says a lot considering how much I do canning!  This swap consist of 15 dozen sweet items!  15 dozen!  Thats a lot, I'm not sure about this, but it's not until Saturday so we'll see.   I may have a huge baking splurge!

Tomatoes

With one box of tomatoes and a little, well okay a lot of time, we managed to get 7 and a half jars of tomatoe sauce or sause as Katie would put it!!!   I've got a few more boxes to put up but this is the first time I've actually canned tomatoes!   I have always frozen them so this is a first.  I forgot to put the lemon juice, I hope that's not a big deal?!?!?!?

Thanksgiving is...

We began some new traditions for Thanksgiving this year.  I had fully planned on making dinner for the entire family but they backed out at the last minute.   Anyway, we made our own Thanksgiving memories this year!!!!
We played outside at my aunt and uncles home, then went to take a nap, cause shopping was in order!!!!   Left home at 11:00 PM to start a night of shopping!  We finally got home at 6:30 AM but we had great deals and great memories!!!  I'm thankful for having family in my life that I can always count on!

We put up our tree on Sunday!   It's not the prettiest thing, but it's made with love and a lot of memories!   Photos to come!!!!!

Thankful....

Heres me and my bestie!  I love her more than corn bread!   She's twice my age, which makes it so much more fun!   I'm thankful for my family and friends, health and happiness.  God is good.   I never thought I'd actually be one to say that (I realize how bad that sounds)!!!!

The end of peanut season

We all are having a little bit of sadness but at the same time glad.....it's the end of peanut season!  It has been a wonderful year with a lot of trials and no rain but, God was wonderful and sent the rain when He decided it was needed.   We lost a lot of crops, but had a lot of good crops too......Thank you Lord!
